CHIA SEED PUDDING
This might have to the best thing ever! I had so many people tell me that my chia seed puddings are so DELICIOUS and every body wants to learn how to make it themselves so I think it is about time I actually post it on my website!
Chia seed pudding can be very versatile you can make any kind of creations and flavors with it. I will share the original recipe and add suggestions of flavors you can add to them.
Chia seed pudding is one of my staple breakfast items that I love to make for the week because it is so easy to make and easily ready to go while rushing out of the door. Not to mention a great dessert as well!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Medium mixing bowl
- Mason Jars (8-12oz) + Lids
- Rubber Spatula
- Blender (Optional)
3 cup nut milk of your choice (almond, coconut, flax, cashew etc)
9 tbsp. chia seeds
2 drops of Stevia OR 4 tbsp. honey (depend on your sweetness buds)
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
pinch of vanilla powder
**One of my secret ingredient to this mixture is adding 1 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder so I may sneak more protein in my diet - it also adds a thicker consistency to the milk based which is really nice! This is where you would like to use the blender to blend very well)
TOPPINGS OH MY!:
Berries (Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries etc)
Hemp Seeds, Shredded Coconut, Dried fruit (mulberries, dates etc), Pumpkin Seeds, Goji Berries, Cacao Nibs, Coconut Yogurt, Bee Pollen,
The list goes on! Be creative!
If you are using protein powder in this mixture please add 5 cups of milk to the blender. Add protein powder, cinnamon and vanilla. Blend on medium to low for 1-2 minutes until everything is evenly mixed.
Take the liquid base into a mixing bowl. Add chia seeds and grab your rubber spatula and mix thoroughly for 1 minute. You want to make sure that the chia seeds are spread out evenly and do not let the seeds clump together.
Once the chia seeds are evenly spread out. Grab your mason jars and fill them up 3/4 all the way - you want to make sure to leave some room the toppings.
Place the mason jars with the chia seed mixture overnight (minimum wait 6 hours)
While you wait you can either prepare your fruits such as washing, drying and slicing if need to be. Place them in a container for the next day.
The next day take out all the mason jars and add your toppings! Ta-da! Done! Grab and go when ready to eat!
Chocolate Peanut Butter
Banana Walnut or Banana Almond Butter
